Product Information

In Asia, this flower has been wildly popular for centuries. The flower originated in China and Japan where people immediately fell in love with it. Around 1700, the flower also showed itself in Europe. We are talking about the Chrysanthemum.

The cheerful flower comes in an awful lot of colors. We would almost forget that the Chrysanthemum is originally yellow. The wide range of colors allows you to go in any direction with the Chrysanthemum. From a summer bouquet to an autumn arrangement with orange tones. Our arranger Tanja van Bijlevelt chose the second option.

LET IT POP

Combining the orange, yellow and dark red Chrysanthemums with the dark color of blacktie makes them pop completely out of the piece. Blacktie, in addition to being beautiful in color, is also ideal for bending. The leaf, despite being sturdy, is pliable and twistable without breaking. This ensures that leaf can be used in special ways. Tanja chose two different variations.

The first variation with the leaf is on a tray. Tanja twisted the leaf into rolls. The flowers were inserted into the different sized rolls. At first you wouldn't say the rolls were made from Blacktie. This makes the arrangement extra special.

In the second variation, the leaves are folded so that they almost look wavy. The different shapes and colors of Chrysanthemums are inserted between them so that the pot is nicely filled. The piece of wood completes it.

Or, like Tanja, choose the beautiful Cordyline Purple. The foliage adds great filler to the bouquet or arrangement. Like Blacktie, Cordyline has a dark purple color that almost looks black.

EVERLASTING

Other foliage that perfectly gives an autumn atmosphere is prepared foliage. There are several types of prepared leaves available. For example, the examples show Salal, Chestnut and Ruscus.

Prepared leaf is leaf that has had a special treatment. This makes the leaf last longer and has an orange, red or yellow tint. Combined with the colors of the Chrysanthemum it makes a beautiful whole,

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

Tanja used the beautiful Grevillea foliage in the outer edge of the bouquet. The leaf is thin and has a gray-green color. Because the thin leaves run along the stem in different ways it gives a cheerful effect to the bouquet.
