Product Information

A new month, means a new flower of the month. We end the first half of the year with the stylish Lily.

Lilies are versatile not only in color, shape and size, but also in their origin. In the wild, the Lily can be found in Korea, Japan and parts of Siberia, as well as close to the equator, in India. In Europe, it is native to the Caucasus, the Balkans, Greece, Poland, the Alps and the Pyrenees. So the Lily is truly a world traveler. Therefore, this time our florist Tanja van Bijlevelt chose many Exotics, Cocos, Asparagus and Flexi grass to do honor to the beautiful flower.

EXOTIC COMBINATIONS

As you may have already known, we offer a large assortment of Exotics. Not only beautiful foliage can be found at this department, also beautiful Proteas, fruits and more. The Lily is available in many colors and varieties, a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase our Exotics to you.

For example, the yellow/orange Pigface fruit (Carpobrotus) colored beautifully with the orange lilies. Tanja finished it off by tying flexi grass around it. A happy bouquet for a happy occasion.

Or how about the pink pineapples and proteas combined with the pink Lily. This combination is sure to create a romantic look. Did you know that the Lily is a symbol of love? In Victorian times, upon receiving a sweet-smelling lily, one knew for sure: this is my lover.

The sturdy foliage varieties like Monstera and Anthurium provide a good base in the bouquet. Both foliage varieties are also beautiful on their own in a vase, but certainly don't look out of place with the Lily.

GREEN GIVES A BOOST!

The dark green color of Cocos boosts Lily's labels. The Cocos leaf is shaped like a fish tail, which ensures that it can be bent in fun ways.

The stems Asparagus Meyeri give a soft effect. Yet this is not quite the case; the stem can have sharp spines. Therefore, be careful before grabbing the branches.

Flexi grass gives the bouquet or arrangement that special look. The grass, as the name suggests. can be bent, braided and twisted without breaking.

COLORFUL GREEN WITH A COLORFUL FLOWER

Another green coming from our exotics department are the various species of Pandanus. The green leaves are oblong and have a cheerful, variegated stripe running across them. This gives the bouquet or arrangement a playful effect. Besides the straight leaf, we also have a folded variety.
