Product Information

We may not want to think about it yet, but next month autumn will begin, Sept. 23 to be exact.

Not to worry!!! Our arranger Tanja went to work again for the month of September with the flower of the month. Because we want to keep the summer going for a while in September, Tanja chose different tropical greens to go with the flower of the month, the Alstroemeria.

GREEN FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD

Westland Flowers Export imports greenery from all over the world. For example, several varieties of greens come from the west coast of America, as well as Africa, Asia, Australia and Europe. Many of these varieties are available year round, allowing us to enjoy summer atmospheres in our homes all year round.

AUSTRALIA

Speargrass and Umbrella are products that come all the way from Australia. Products from Australia are flown in fresh once a week.

Speargrass is a flexible type of grass. This means that the grass can also be braided and bent. Tanja has therefore also done this.

Umbrella can be recognized by its umbrella shape, hence the name. The fresh green leaves give the arrangement a luxurious look. This is why umbrella is also a popular product in bridal bouquets.

AFRICA

The sample bouquet, created by Tanja, also features several varieties of Cape greenery. Cape green is a collective name for various South African greens. These greens grow in a region near the southern tip of South Africa.

The varieties Tanja chose are Kaaps Berzelia Galpini, identified by the yellow balls. And Cape Safari bouquet; different varieties of Cape green mixed together. The different colors combined with the cheerful colors of the Alstroemeria create a summery whole.

Another product from Africa is the protea. The bouquet features the Protea Black Beauty. A beautiful product with a cheerful pink exterior and a black interior. Definitely an exotic eye catcher in a bouquet!

EUROPA

The leaf may look very exotic, but it is simply from Europe. We are talking about the Phormium leaf. Tanja chose Phormium Variegated in the arrangement. The leaf is ideal for folding. Phormium gives an extra nice effect by using it in a glass vase, as seen in the example.

AZIE

Raphis and Asia mix come from Asia. Both from Sri-lanka. The products from Asia are shipped to our branches by air freight.

Raphis can be recognized by its large, green leaves. The leaf is ideal to use as the size of a bouquet. This can also be seen in the bouquet made by Tanja.

The palm leaf is shaped like a fan. The end of the leaf fingers ends in a thin point. Sometimes these points are cut off, then the product is called Raphis cutted.

Asia Mix is an ideal product when you can't choose between all the beautiful products from Asia. The mix contains different types of greenery. The mix contains different colors, sizes and types. This creates fun effects in a bouquet or arrangement.
