Radiant colors and striking shapes: sunflower (Helianthus), Motherwort (Tanacetum) and Lamb's ear (Limonium) are in the spotlight throughout July.
Why? Because all three are often associated with summer. Bring on the warm weather!
Also this month, arranger Tanja van Bijlevelt went to work for us with the cheerful flowers. Not only did she look this month for decorative greenery that fits nicely with the flowers, but also for greenery that will survive this (hopefully) warm summer well.
In a clear video, she likes to show how the greenery and flowers can be processed. Ideal for yourself, or for your customers. Watch this video here.
But much more is possible with summer flowers combined with different types of greenery. Read on quickly.
We would prefer to enjoy our greenery all summer long. But due to warm weather, vacations and outings, this is not always possible. Still, you can enjoy these types of greenery as long as you want, as they are dried greens, which therefore do not decay.
Tanja used Peacock feathers, Mitsumata branches, Stypha and Triticum in the bouquets and arrangements.
The peacock feathers combine beautifully with the purple and pink hues of the Limonium. The feathers give an exotic look to the arrangement. The feathers do not require water and will therefore remain beautiful for a long time.
You can recognize Mitsumata by its sturdy branches. Tanja chose the bleached variety in these bouquets. But we have many more cheerful colors available in our assortment. Are you looking for a particular color? Please feel free to contact us.
Stypha gives a soft look to the bouquet. The feathery branches are available in a variety of colors. We chose a yellow variety for the sunflower. Tanja had the branches subtly sticking out of the bouquet, what a cheerful look!
Triticum is a species of wheat. Its leaves are dried and require no water. Like the other dried species, Triticum comes in many different colors. But we found the bleached branches combine best with the cheerful summer flowers.
In addition to the dried greens, Tanja also chose some fresh greens. The green color makes the cheerful colors of the summer flowers stand out even brighter from the bouquet.
Tanja chose Asparagus Plumosus, Asparagus Umbellatus and Thlaspi Green Bell.
Asparagus is a familiar to many. The green is incredibly popular. Partly because there are more than 600 different species of Asparagus. Some more beautiful than others.
Thus, the difference between Plumosus and Umbellatus is already easy to see. Plumosus gives a soft look. While Umbellatus, on the contrary, gives more volume.
Thlaspi Green Bell is a lesser-known product. This even though it is an incredibly cool product. The green has small round leaves at the end of the branches. This gives a cheerful effect. Because there is space between the round leaves, it is an airy green. The bright color gives it a fresh look. Perfect for combining with summer flowers.
Be sure to take a look at our webshop for used products, or for other cool green products.
