We open the new year with the tulip. With its fresh green leaves, unique shapes and brilliant colors, the tulip is the ideal 2019 kickstarter.
Our arranger Tanja van Bijlevelt got to work with the cheerful tulip. We chose several types of greenery to go with this flower. Tanja went to work with a number of seasonal products but also the popular products we offer year round could not be missed.
Plenty of different arrangements and bouquets to bring cheer into the new year! Get inspired.
Those who think that the Tulip is a truly Dutch flower are not quite right. Today we are the largest supplier of the tulip as a bulb and cut flower. But originally the tulip is native to Iran, Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
With over 600 cultivars, the choice is vast. Whether you want a solid color tulip or one with multiple colors, single or double flowered, you can go either way with the tulip.
A classic combination is the Tulip combined with the beautiful Heidelbeer. A beautiful combination, but our arranger Tanja wanted more. She combined the tulip with Heidelbeer and Magnolia and Ginster.
The winding Magnolia branches add a playful effect to the tulips. Now just waiting to see if the Magnolia's buds open into beautiful flowers.
The Ginster is available in a variety of colors. The subtle little flower, in a pink color for example, adds a nice detail to any bouquet or arrangement.
Purple dyed birch branches also combine beautifully! The nice thing about birch branches is that we supply them in different colors. So there is always a color that matches the color tulip you have.
Not convinced? Then the snowy version is beautiful too! The snow brings with it a wintry feeling.
The dark colored berries and green leaves of the Steelberry give it a chic look. Combined with the dark purple tulips, it is a treat to look at!
Other greenery that combines well with the cheerful flower is Salal.
Salal makes for a well-filled bouquet. The greenery provides a solid base. The apple leaf, as it is also called, has a fresh green color, perfectly matching the color of the tulip leaf.
The different varieties of Asparagus also combine well. Tanja chose Asparagus Ming for the tulip. Like the Salal leaf, the Asparagus Leaf has a fresh green color. The Asparagus gives a soft look to the arrangement. Beautiful!
