May is the month when we get to put mothers in the spotlight. In the Netherlands, we traditionally celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May. The perfect time to spoil her with a big bouquet.

Our florist Tanja van Bijlevelt went to work again this month with the flower of the month and the decorative greenery to match.
A pink Calla combined with the variegated Aspidistra leaf is not only beautiful to look at, but also brings the sunshine into your home. Anyone who thinks the Calla is a boring flower is completely wrong. The flower brightens up completely when combined with the playful foliage.

With the fresh green Lillygrass you can go in any direction. Whether you use it in a bouquet, or curved in an arrangement. Lillygrass is beautiful! Florist Tanja chose to leave the Lillygrass as it is with the stylish Calla. The grass is widely used in bridal bouquets, but it is also ideal for showing your love to your mother.
Like Lillygrass, Typha is a popular product because it is so flexible. The leaf is often used to make loops or weave/braid with. Because of its flexibility, Typha always makes the bouquet or arrangement special. Also in combination with the Calla! A beautiful arrangement for a special woman!
